Back after a long hiatus!

So after almost two years, I'm back on blogger! My Google account was hacked and shut down for the longest time, and on a whim, I decided to try and get back in (thanks to my husband, who insisted I try it one more time!). And amazingly, it worked!

Quick updates on us, then I really need to get to bed. We've had some major changes in our lives since the last time I posted. We're leaving Kansas, actually, we're leaving the United States, and heading back to Kenya. In one week, we'll be on the road to Virginia, heading to my parents' house, where the kids and I will stay until mid-June. Garry will go ahead of us (leaving the first week of February) and will get everything set up for us. My mom will be flying out with the kids and me, and will hopefully stay a little while to help us get settled in comfortably. We've already sold almost everything we own that isn't essential, and now it's just a matter of getting the last things sent off to charity and packing up what we're taking to Virginia with us. It's exciting and terrifying all at the same time.

And one last huge piece of news... Miss Aubrey, age 14 months, is going to be a big sister at the end of April/early May. Peighton Jane is due April 30th, and is part of the reason that I'm staying in Virginia until June - we decided it would be less stressful for the kids and I to stay behind and then come over with all the kids. We're excited, albeit a little nervous as to what life will be like with 4 kids aged 5 and under, and especially about Aubrey's reaction, as she's a total mama's girl and very jealous of anyone else taking my attention away from her. Hopefully she'll start to get a little more independent before her little sister arrives; she's already showing signs of being quite the little nurturer and loves to snuggle and cuddle her baby doll and stuffed animals.

Signing off for now - will get pictures of everyone up as soon as I get a chance to relax after our trip across country!
